A 3PL company in Houston had two distinct businesses coexisting on a single website. We separated them, migrated everything to Webflow, and enabled their team to manage content without relying on a developer.

Logistics and distribution company in Houston, Texas. Offering third-party logistics (3PL) services; warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution for DTC and e-commerce brands. They also operate SOON, their custom product development line.

El reto

A website that no longer served the business.

The original website had been built by the CEO on Squarespace when the company was just starting out with no technical knowledge. Years later, it no longer represented the brand and couldn't keep up with its growth.

Two unique sites, with SEO preserved during migration.

Before even considering the design, we asked the crucial question: is this one poorly organized website, or are they two distinct websites? Relay and SOON weren't targeting the same client, weren't competing for the same keywords, and didn't require the same tone. So, we decided to separate them into two independent websites, relaydistro.com for the 3PL, and soonprodev.com for SOON.

Based on that decision, we executed:

  • Research and architecture: Competitor analysis for each service line, independent keyword research using Google Keyword Planner, search intent analysis, and a new SEO-oriented sitemap..
  • Design and development in Webflow from scratch:  Clean structure with Client First, design system, CMS configured for the team to add services and clients without touching code, creation of reusable components, and image optimization to AVIF/WebP. [SEG SEGMENT 8] ‍Technical SEO:
  • schema markup, dynamic meta tags, XML sitemap, Core Web Vitals.Migration without traffic loss:
  • mapping of the old sitemap and configuration of 301 redirects one by one to preserve accumulated SEO equity. Total time:
7 weeks, from discovery to launch. 1 for research, 3 for design, 2 for development, 1 for QA and SEO setup.
